The thing we should never forget is that the adoption of technology and robotics will replace 10's of thousands of farmers and the opportunities to become a farmer. The focus of quantity as a measure of efficiency has led us down a path that we will someday regret. Our focus on efficiency should have been on quality and profitability per acre and not volume per acre as the measures of success. There is still the chance to go back and travel "The road not taken" and rebuild our rural communities and family structure but we have to take our heads out of the marketing messages hammered into us by the proponents of industrial agriculture. It's up to us - nobody else can do it.

Truer words never spoken and a great video to back them up!
